Being a Photographer is something that runs in my blood. That's my Dad with the camera in his hand and me hanging on the fence when I was about 4 years old. He is the inspiration behind HeartGate Photography. He ran his photography business for over 30 years and since his passing, I've renamed my business after his. I often wonder what he thinks of me taking after him in his career. I hope that he would be proud.

This is why I offer travel photography! I believe that life is about new experiences and making memories. And I want to help preserve them for you! So whether you're heading to the mountains, beaches, countryside or big city, I want to be there right beside you...making sure you don't miss a thing and can remember the moment forever. ~get to know me~

I'm a Mom to two spicy, intelligent and strong willed daughters. I married my best friend in '08 and we've known each other for 20+ years now.

I love plants. Like love love plants. I think I'm at over 50 in our house so far. Some might go so far as to call me a Nature Witch.

Lover of the Ocean, Forest & Mountains. My dream retirement location is Vancouver island in the forest, along the coast with some great hiking options.

I traveled to the UK for the first time in 2023 and fell head over heels over with Scotland and rural England. Check out my bucket travel list because I'd love to shoot your wedding for free if you are getting married in any of those locations!

I'm a creative extroverted introvert. I totally love being around people but recharge my batteries solo...typically somewhere surrounded by nature.

I'm a farm girl at heart and wanted to buy a horse instead of a car when I was 16.

I grew up in a small prairie town. But my heart is and always will be in the country. We own a small acreage in Parkland County now and I couldn't be happier.

I am super crafty and love to sew, crochet and bake. My girls call me a 90 year old Granny. They aren't wrong.

Spiritually open. I firmly believe that as long as you aren't harming anyone or the environment, you are free to believe whatever you want.

I will always do my best to learn about inclusivity and are aware that we all have so much growth to do when it comes to accepting people of every shape, colour, ability and religion. All are welcome here.
